Cristin will be repping the USA at Traverse City Opera House

Cristin repping Team USA alongside her poetry pals Buddy Wakefield and Anis Mogjani at the Traverse City Opera House’s Poetry Olympics! Poets Derrick Brown and Baz will be hosting, and other competiting poets will include Robbie Q Telfer and Sarah Morgan, among others. UPDATE: Team USA won their way into the clean slate final round, where Cristin took the title! She is very proud of her golden motorboat trophy with the label “Best Poet in the World-Ish” written on the base!

After many years of fill-in host duty, Cristin is thrilled that Taylor Mali has finally signed her up as a poet for his wonderful Page Meets Stage series. Cristin has been paired up with fellow poet and doxie lover Aimee Nezhukumatathil. Cristin is so happy to be hosting the NYC-Urbana Finals, which is celebrating its 12th year sending a team to the National Poetry Slam. A fantastic group of poets will be vying for a slot on the team, and there are guaranteed performances by Taylor Mali, Rives, Shappy Seasholtz and Eboni Hogan already on the docket.
