Cristin’s book “Oh Terrible Youth” reviewed by Orange Alert

Cristin is grateful for the sweet review that the (recently re-issued edition of) Oh, Terrible Youth (Write Bloody Publishing, 2011) received in the Chicago-based lit blog, What To Wear During An Orange Alert. Reviewer (and fellow 80s kid) Jason Behrends writes, “Cristin conveys a full story by weaving together poems that will touch both the heart and the funny bone of any outsider. Whether it is through the hand-me-downs, the poor planned Halloween costumes, the awkward encounters with boys, or the feeling you just don’t belong in your own family; there is something to relate to in this collection.” To read the full review, click here.

Cristin’s Second Book of Poetry “Hot Teen Slut” Reissued

In 2010, Write Bloody Publishing announced that they would be publishing Cristin’s entire back catalogue of poetry, and Cristin is proud to announce that the second expanded re-issue, Hot Teen sut was officially released on April. Whether she is smuttily exploring the new responsibilities of her new job (“New Millennial Bad Ass”), or rallying women to empower themselves via vocabulary (“Sass Manifesto“), or sweetly celebrating love in the face of triple-X (“Let’s Make Out”), Aptowicz dramatizes the hopes, humor and ambitions of young poet first steps into a very surreal “real world.”. Hot Teen Slut is available to all indie & chain bookstores, on Amazon and on the Write Bloody Publishing website (where you can buy the book with other COA titles for discount!)
