Cristin’s poem “Old Boy” is Poem of the Day on Verse Daily
Cristin was thrilled to hear that her poem “Old Boys” (which can be found in Oh, Terrible Youth) was selected as the Poem of the Day on the popular website, Verse Daily. Cristin’s book “Oh Terrible Youth” reviewed by Orange Alert
Cristin is grateful for the sweet review that the (recently re-issued edition of) Oh, Terrible Youth (Write Bloody Publishing, 2011) received in the Chicago-based lit blog, What To Wear During An Orange Alert. Reviewer (and fellow 80s kid) Jason Behrends writes, “Cristin conveys a full story by weaving together poems that will touch both the heart and the funny bone of any outsider. Cristin is thrilled to have poetry in the newest issue of Yes, Poetry. Cristin’s Poem Appears in the Latest Issue of “Danse Macabre”
Cristin is thrilled to be appearing for the third time in the literary journal, “Danse Macabre.” This time, they have published her prose-poem, “The Youngest Kid Lament, or Moping at the Crossroads” which will also be forthcoming in the expanded reissue of Oh Terrible Youth, forthcoming later this month on Write Bloody Publishing.

Cristin to host Spoken Nerd Revolution Book Release at Kelly Writers House (Feb 23)
Cristin is thrilled to be hosting the Spoken Nerd Revolution book release party at the University of Pennsylvania’s Kelly Writers House. Spoken Nerd Revolution is the collected early writing of Shappy Seasholtz, Cristin’s partner, and the Kelly Writers House is happy to be the home for the first official release party for the book. The release has be a pick of the week for Daily Candy (here) and Philly Fun Guide pick (here), as well as the focus of an article in the Philadelphia City Paper (here). The event is FREE, and will take page on Wednesday, February 23 at 6 p.m. at the Kelly Writers House (3805 Locust Walk, 215-746-7636, writing.upenn.edu/wh). There will be birthday cupcakes, trivia and special guests, such as Philadelphia Slammaster Jane Cassady.
Cristin’s Poetry Published in Dinosaur Bees
Cristin is thrilled to have two of her poems — “List of Awesome Things You Have to Do” and “The Happy Fun of Love” — published in the second issue of Dinosaur Bees: A Journal of the Carefully Strange, alongside poets such as Molly Gaudry, Travis Macdonald and Claudia Lamar, among others. Cristin to Attend AWP & Perform at Two Offsite Readings
Cristin will be attending the 2011 AWP conference, happening in Washington DC from Feb 2nd – Feb 6th. She will additional be performing at two offsite readings on Thursday February 3rd: the 3pm AWP Literary Gong Show @ Madam’s Organ Restaurant & Bar (2461 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20009-2003) where she will be representing Barrelhouse Magazine; and 7:30pm Divination in DC (aka the PANK / Annalemma / Mud Luscious reading) @ Ireland’s Four Provinces, 3412 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington DC).
