Cristin is proud to have her poem, All I’d Leave Behind, be published alongside works by Willie Perdomo, Taylor Mali, Tony Brown, Oscar Bermeo, Marty McConnell and more in the premier issue of SPINDLE. SPINDLE is an online literary magazine “with a twist” founded by NYC poet Guy LeCharles Gonzalez which features creative non-fiction, poetry and short fiction by, for and about New Yorkers — literal and spiritual. Cristin will chopping heads at the BPC again, but this time for an awesome ROCK SOW organized by Sean T. Hanratty, and featuring performances by three of Cristin’s favorite bands: The New York Howl, Brief View of the Hudson; and the fools. Fancy dress is required! Cristin will be chopping heads during the opening ceremonies of this year’s HOWL Festival! Artwork will be auctioned, poets will be poetizing, drinks will be drunk and hair will be cut! The best of the best of the best of the national poetry slam community will battle poetically on the beautiful Paramount Theatre stage. Cristin will mark returning to her first National Poetry Slam since 2004 with a Friday afternoon performance at the “Revenge of the Nerds” Legends Showcase. She will be joined by other nerdy “slam legends” including Ernie Cline, Shappy Seasholtz, Susan B. Anthony Somers-Willett, Dawn Gabriel and Jeremy Richards, among others. This event is FREE! Cristin will be interviewed live on the NPR show, “City Watch,” the NPR poetry has which is broadcast live every Wednesday 10am – 11am on the NYC NPS station, WBAI / 99.5 FM.
