Cristin to compete in NYC-Urbana’s 2010 Diva Slam

Cristin is thrilled to be be competing in NYC-Urbana’s annual Diva Slam, which helps determine who will represent NYC-Urbana at the Women of the World Poetry Slam (WOWPS) happening this March in Columbus, Ohio. The slam has 1-minute, 2 minute, 3 minute and 4 minute poetry sounds, and Cristin will be competing against poets Nicole Homer, Joanna Hoffman, Akua Doku, Christine Hatch, Arianne Benford, Meaghan Plunkett and Sam LaRoche. Doors a the Bowery Poetry Club at 6:30pm, and the open mic will start promptly at 7pm. For more information (and/or to RSVP & spread the word), check out the Facebook events page here. UPDATE: Cristin won & will be NYC-Urbana’s WOWps representative for the 2010 Women of the World Poetry Slam (WOWPS) happening in Columbus (OH), March 11th – 13th.
