The Website of Cristin O'Keefe Aptowicz
Cristin is honored to be returning to New York City to host a very special Page Meets Stage, featuring two of her favorite poets: John S. Hall and Bob Hicok. John S. Hall is perhaps best known for his work with his band King Missile and its cult hit, “Detachable Penis,” but he has also released several books on NYC’s Soft Skull Press. An interview with John S. Hall comprises an entire chapter of Cristin’s book, Words In Your Face: A Guided Tour Through Twenty Years of the New York City Poetry Slam. He is also a fantastic human being. Bob Hicok is another one of Cristin’s favorite writers. Published widely, and having been awarded two NEA Fellowships and a Guggenheim Fellowship, he is also one the most popular “poets poet” around. The event will be taking place at the Bowery Poetry Club on Weds December 15, with the show starting promptly at 8pm. Arrive early for good seats. To RSVP and/or spread the word, please visit the Facebook event page by clicking here.
