Words In Your Face is praised in “Suss: Another Literary Journal”

Earlier in the year, Cristin’s poem “Not As Smart As I Think I Am” appeared in the fantastic literary journal, Suss. So imagine her surprise when her book, Words In Your Face was given a shout out in the Suss “Gossip” section. Poet Ian Khadan writes that Words In Your Face “fits into the confines of its pages a major movement in the modern era of poetry that will likely be studied by academia in many years to come alongside the likes of the Black Arts movement and the Beatnik era” and that Cristin “a lavish window into which many unfamiliar with the burgeoning slam poetry scene can appreciate the history and struggles of now accomplished poets and novelists.” To read more of Ian’s killer write-up click here).To read Cristin’s poem from earlier in the year, click here).
