Cristin to Perform at the Nuyorican’s NYC Regionals
Cristin and the rest of the NYC Urbana 2010 Poetry Slam Team (Elliott D. Smith, Brian Omni Dillon and Omar Holmon) ship off the Nuyorican Poets Cafe for the first NYC Regionals, where they will battle teams from louderARTS, Nuyorican and NJ’s Loser Slam. Cristin and the rest of the NYC Urbana 2010 Poetry Slam Team (Elliott D. Cristin to Perform at Amazing Spoken Word Showcase at the Strand
In honor of National Poetry Month, the Strand Book Store and BUST Magazine are proud to present an evening of spoken word featuring some of the country’s top female performance poets. Cristin (a BUST writer) will host the reading, which will feature electrifying performances by Cristin, National Book Award nominee Patricia Smith (“Blood Dazzler”), Golden Globe nominee Amber Tamblyn (“Bang Ditto”) and Women of the World Poetry Slam champion Rachel McKibbens (“Pink Elephant”). Cristin Serves as Poet-In-Residence at Culver Academy
Cristin served as Poet-In-Residence at Culver Academy from April 15 thru April 19, a prestigious boarding school located in Culver, Indiana. Cristin taught 6 ninety-minute humanities classes in poetry, and performed both in their Friday Night “Relay for Life” activities and their Saturday Night “Poetry Jam.”
Cristin to Perform at Write Bloody Showcase at the College of Saint Rose

Cristin’s Poem is Finalist for 2009 Best of the Net
Cristin’s poem “A Short History of Unusual Fish” was chosen as a finalist in the 2009 Best of the Net competition, alongside poems by poets like Sherman Alexie, Bob Hicok, Major Jackson, W.S.
